Lectureship
Eta Gamma is proud to announce the establishment of its Lectureship in Values and Ethics with the Texas A&M Foundation! The Delta Gamma Foundation matched the $50,000 that the chapter raised from annual philanthropy fundraisers, to establish the first lectureship series of its kind on the Texas A&M campus. Not only is it the first lectureship of its kind on campus, but it is also the first time any Greek organization has given back to the Texas A&M Foundation. This endowment will provide funds in perpetuity to host speakers such as Maya Angelou, Colin Powell, and Madeleine Albright.
Lectureship 2021

This year for Lectureship, Delta Gamma was honored to host Madison Prewett as our guest speaker! Madi has helped with many outreach programs, and is well known among young women as a role model for navigating life and its many difficulties. She is bubbly and very extroverted, which was evident in her Lectureship speech about how life in the age of social media can change or challenge you in many ways. She spoke on the many life lessons she has learned as a rising Christian influencer and how, when we as young women are faced with adversity, we can overcome it with confidence. Author of the book titled "Made for this Moment", Madi reflected on her personal story and how the reality of harsh standards has shaped her into the woman she is today, and encouraged each woman in Delta Gamma to grow into a similar mindset.
Lectureship 2017
During 2017, Delta Gamma at Texas A&M was proud to host Lizzie Velasquez, a motivational speaker, and author, in our annual lectureship. Lizzie Velasquez was born in Austin, Texas, with a neonatal progeroid syndrome, a rare genetic disease that affects her heart, eyes, and bones, and prevents her from gaining weight. Hearing her speak and meeting her was an incredible opportunity for both Delta Gamma and Texas A&M University.
Lectureship 2019

Fall of 2019, Delta Gamma hosted Sadie Robertson here at Texas A&M University. Sadie is well known for her engaging smile and energetic personality, but there is a lot more to the 22-year-old star of A&E's Duck Dynasty and runner up on ABC's Dancing With The Stars season 19. For Robertson, each day going forward represents an opportunity to continue spreading her message and directly impacting the lives of others in a positive way. Whether as an author or motivational speaker, she speaks with profound grace and clarity. Last year, the author of the New York Times best-seller Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values embarked on a 16-city “Live Original Tour,” where she met thousands of teens and their families and spread her message of self-confidence and positivity. This fall, she’ll be back on the road for another sure-to-be inspiring tour.
