Find your family!!
Dear Potential New Member,
My name is Rosemarie Pearson and I have the privilege of serving as Delta Gamma’s Vice President of Membership this year. I am so excited to have this opportunity to work alongside my recruitment team to prepare to meet each one of you this August. This chapter has turned me into the woman I am today, and I am so grateful to be able to help show each of you what Delta Gamma means to us throughout recruitment.
I had always known I wanted to go through recruitment, but I was not aware of what all that would entail. I knew I would have the chance to make friends and attend fun social events, but I did not know the extent of the friendships I would form and the person I would develop into. Walking into Delta Gamma for the first time, I immediately saw the authenticity and intentionality of each member and knew that was something I wanted to be a part of during my college experience. Each woman I met poured into me, and I saw characteristics in each of them that I wanted to develop and grow in myself during my four years at Texas A&M.
During my time as a Delta Gamma, I have been able to form lifelong relationships, find my future bridesmaids, and develop those traits I had initially admired in the women I met during recruitment. I have had the opportunity to grow in both leadership and confidence and am constantly being pushed to be the best version of myself. I know this world has been challenging and unpredictable this past year, but one thing that has stayed consistent is the people and friendships I have formed as a member of this chapter. No matter what recruitment will look like this upcoming year, I hope each of you are able to find what I have found in Delta Gamma.
Recruitment week can be an overwhelming and challenging process at times but finding your “home away from home” makes the entire process worth it. My biggest advice to each of you is to look at the women you meet in every house and decide who you want to become throughout your time at Texas A&M. This process will make you question many things, but always remember to stay true to who you are and who you desire to be. Delta Gamma is so excited to meet you and wishes you the best of luck!
